With December, Northglenn Police Go Under The Razor

NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4)- After taking part in No-Shave November, officers with the Northglenn Police Department went under the razor on Tuesday.

The department handed over a check for $4,000 to the American Cancer Society, all the money they raised while not shaving during the entire month of November. The No-Shave November is a movement designed to raise awareness about men's health.

Officers grew beards and collected donations for the American Cancer Society.

But on Dec. 1, officers had to get rid of the beards.

"Northglenn only allows our officers to have mustaches so this is a real treat for them to grow a beard for the month of November," said Northglenn Police spokeswoman Renae Lehr.
