Winter Storm Watches Issued Ahead Of Weekend Snow Include South Metro Denver

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for portions of the I-25 urban corridor starting Friday night and lasting into Saturday as a new winter storm approaches the state.

The watches include the southern fringe of the Denver metro area including southeast Aurora, Elizabeth, Parker and Castle Rock.

While this storm appears to be taking a more southern track than the last one and doesn't appear it will last as long, things can certainly change quickly as we saw on Wednesday.

A winter storm watch means to pay attention to the local forecast because there is still a great deal of uncertainty in the details.
