Winner Announced In Stanley Hotel's 'Shining' Hedge Maze Contest

ESTES PARK, Colo. (CBS4) - The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park has selected a winning design for the hedge maze made famous in the movie "The Shining."

The hotel held a contest asking people around the world to submit their ideas. The winning design comes from Mairim Dallaryan Standing, an architect in New York.

More than 300 entries were received from 34 countries.

Standing won two plane tickets, hotel accommodations and two all-access passes to the Stanley Film Festival, which will be held April 30 through May 3.

The hotel will install the maze this spring to coincide with the Stanley Film Festival.
