Windsor Library Changes Policy On Guns

WINDSOR, Colo. (CBS4)- The library in Windsor has changed its policy on guns after it was challenged by a gun rights activist group.

The Clearview Library District will change their no firearms policy and signage to comply with state law.

This comes after Erika Sattler said she was asked to leave her weapon in the car after someone apparently spotted her gun on her person while she was inside the library.

The group Rocky Mountain Gun Owners sent the library a cease and desist order stating concealed weapons must be allowed under state law.

The library announced the change on Friday that it would no longer challenge armed library visitors.
