Wildlife Officials Back Off On Mountain Lion Hunting Plan
DENVER (CBS4)- Parks and Wildlife in Colorado is backing off a proposal that would have allowed the hunting of more mountain lions.
The proposal was initially made to boost the mule deer population in Colorado.
There was a lot of opposition from conservation groups who argue the mule deep population is dropping not due to predators but habitat loss.
Parks and Wildlife said the hunting proposal for mountain lions will be submitted again next year.
