Wildfire Nearly Contained In Routt County After Burning Almost 500 Acres

HAYDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - About 40 firefighters were tackling a wildfire burning in Routt County not far from Hayden. It was reported Thursday afternoon and burned 425 acres.

When it started, there were strong winds prompting a pre-evacaution warning for the Williams Fork-Motherwell Ranch area. Those warnings were presumably lifted as structures were not threatened on Friday by the blaze

Both state and local firefighters were on the firelines, including a hotshot crew from Craig.
