Wildfire Destroys Structures Near Nederland

NEDERLAND, Colo. CBS4) - A wildfire burning in Boulder County has burned at least two structures.

The fire is burning approximately three miles north of Nederland.

All residents east of Peak to Peak Highway along the north and west sides of Ridge Road were being evacuated. Evacuees can go to Nederland High School located at 597 Eldora Road or the Gilpin Recreation Center located at 250 Norton Drive in Black Hawk.

Evacuees with small animals can bring them to the evacuation centers. Those with large animals can take them to the Boulder County Fairgrounds.

Sugarloaf Road from Peak to Peak Highway
Cold Springs Road
Ridge Road
Conifer Road
Thunder Ridge South Road
Cougar Road
Shady Hollow Road
Switzerland Park Upham Gulch
Wolfetongue

At 9 p.m. on Saturday the fire was estimated at approximately 220 acres and there's no containment.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire isn't known.

A fire ban is now in effect for all of unincorporated Boulder County.
