Eagle Rock Fire Breaks Out Near Conifer, Evacuations Lifted
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Evacuations of homes near Conifer were lifted Friday night after firefighters responded to a small wildfire.
In the late afternoon people living in 20 homes along Wamblee Trail were told to go to Conifer High School for shelter. The evacuation order was lifted at 7 p.m.
The Eagle Rock Fire was described as being 2.5 acres.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's office said the firefighting crews have the fire contained.
"Residents may still see smoke/flames but no cause for concern while crews work," they tweeted.
