Crews Fight Wild Horse Fire Burning On Fort Carson From Ground, Air

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Wild Horse Fire burning on the Fort Carson Army Post is being attacked by fire crews on both the ground and air. The fire ignited on Monday night.

"The flames were explosive right here, but as soon as they hit pine and new fuel it just basically exploded into a big flame. And that's when I got scared when I saw it right close, here," said one witness.

The Wild Horse Fire is 40% contained and has burned 670 acres.
