When could you see warmer temperatures in Denver?

Bitterly cold Wednesday with another round of snow Thursday night

After days of below freezing temperatures, warmer weather is on the way for the weekend. Thursday morning will be another cold start to the day, although not as cold as Wednesday. The eastern plains will be below freezing while the metro area and west will see single digits. It will breezy on Thursday morning, plummeting wind chill values from -15 in the eastern plains to 25 below for the far northeastern plains. The cold weather advisory and extreme cold warning will continue through Thursday morning.

The record-breaking cold will give way to a gradual warmup. Friday temperatures will climb above freezing into the low 40s, but by this weekend daytime highs will reach into the 50s and low-60s. Saturday temperatures will be slightly above normal for the day. Sunday through Tuesday we have a chance to reach the low to mid-60s across the I-25 corridor and the plains.

The warmup is expected to continue through the end of February with above normal temperatures statewide.
