Wheat Ridge Police Arrest Hit & Run Suspect

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Wheat Ridge arrested a driver wanted in a hit-and-run crash that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

Officers responded to a hit-and-run accident on Kipling Street at the Interstate 70 Service Road South on June 25. When they arrived, officers learned an unknown white truck with dual tires had struck a motorcyclist.

The white truck continued northbound on Kipling Street without stopping.

Investigators said they developed probable cause to arrest Jimmy Lee Perry on Wednesday for hit-and-run causing serious bodily injury.

Perry, 52, remains in custody at the Jefferson County Detention Center.
