West Nile Virus Discovered In Mosquitoes In Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - Mosquitoes in Fort Collins have tested positive for the West Nile virus for the first time this season.

The city says traps in the northeast and southeast section of the city revealed the infected mosquitos.

The insects can transmit the virus to people but so far there had been no reported cases of anyone getting sick.

Colorado reported 115 cases of West Nile last summer and four people died.
