West Metro Fire Performs Steep Angle Rope Rescue To Save Dog From Mine Shaft

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A dog and her owner can thank West Metro Fire crews for a successful rescue.

Bailey fell 200 feet down an open mine shaft in the Roxborough area over the weekend. West Metro's Technical Rescue Crew carried out the steep angle rope rescue.

Two rescuers were lowered into the mine and were able to get Bailey back to the surface where she was reunited with her happy owner.
