Week-Long Celebration Of Small Batch Distilleries
DENVER (CBS4) – Happening this week is a week-long celebration of America's small-batch distilleries called Dstill.
It features craft cocktails events, workshops and panel discussions.
Colorado has already made a name for itself in the craft beer industry and now the state offers more than 50 craft distillers as well.
"I can't say that the brewers haven't paved the way for us. Without them we wouldn't have the great laws that we have in place now. It makes it very attainable to get a distillers license and actually sustainable so you can have a tasting room," said Chris Koons from Peach Street Distillers.
On Thursday is the Dstill showcase, a tasting event featuring handcrafted cocktails made with America's top artisan distillers.
