Weather Changes Could Lead To Beaver Creek Fire Flareup

WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Weather changes over the next few days could spark a flareup of the Beaver Creek Fire.

That's according to a new briefing released this weekend by fire managers.

The wildfire is located north of the town of Walden near the Wyoming-Colorado border and has been burning since June 19. It has destroyed a cabin and several outbuildings.

The fire has burned more than 37,000 acres and is 53 percent contained. Full containment isn't expected until October.

The cause is still under investigation, but authorities said earlier this month the fire was human-caused.
