Water Main Break Leaves Neighborhood Without Water

DENVER (CBS4) - A water main break could leave a Denver neighborhood near Interstate 25 & I-225 without water until Thursday morning.

A 12 inch main broke just after 6 p.m. in the 7100 block of East Princeton. Crews had to shut off the water supply to two homes and one apartment building during repairs. It could be Thursday morning before the water is restored.

Crews with Denver Water worked to locate the source of the break before they could begin repairing the main. Right after the break there was standing water measuring more than a foot-and-a-half deep in some places.

Once the pipe is fixed repairs to the road will begin. There is damage throughout the street, with buckling in some places, not just one hole.
