Water Main Break Turns Into Geyser Near Alameda Avenue

DENVER (CBS4) - A water main break sent a geyser of water shooting into the air near the Fairmount Cemetery. The break happened in Denver near Alameda Avenue and Quebec Street.

Denver Water officials say a business was digging and hit the pipe by mistake. A 12-inch water main broke and was shut off.

Two businesses are without water temporarily. Officials say a business for tombstones which is part of the cemetery is out of water, but the rest of the property is okay.
