Police: Man Found Dead On Top Of Semi Trailer In Grand Junction Fell Onto It In Wheat Ridge

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) -- Police believe a man who was found dead on top of a semi trailer in Grand Junction fell onto it from an overpass in Wheat Ridge. The man has been identified as 20-year-old Vincent Sager.

The driver told police he heart a loud noise when he passed under an overpass on Interstate 70 in Wheat Ridge. He said he pulled over and found damage to the top of his semi-truck. It's not clear why he didn't see the deceased man.

The driver proceeded to Glenwood Springs, where he transferred the trailer to another truck, and continued on to his destination in Grand Junction. Sager's body was discovered after the semi-truck arrived on Thursday morning.

It is believed Sager died striking the semi-trailer. Right now, Wheat Ridge detectives are not looking for any persons of interest but they are still investigating the case. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call 303-235-2947.
