Video Shows Truck Hauling Concrete Collide With Stolen Jeep In Longmont

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - A truck carrying approximately 51,000 pounds of concrete collided with a Jeep in Longmont, and the crash was caught on video.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. Monday at Highway 66 and Highway 287. The intersection had to be closed all day for cleanup. Along with cleaning up the powdered concrete crews also cleaned up an oil spill in an irrigation ditch.

The road was reopened just after 8:30 p.m.

The investigation is underway to see if one of the drivers ran a red light.

The driver of the Jeep was flown to Denver Health Medical Center and is listed in critical condition. The driver and passenger of the truck were treated for moderate injuries at Longmont United Hospital.

Police say the Jeep had been stolen out of Denver.

No names have been released.
