TELLURIDE, Colo. (CBS4) - Incredible video shows an avalanche in progress in Telluride.
The precautionary controlled slide was set off on Ajax Peak Thursday by Helitrax as avalanche mitigation work.
Telluride has seen 95 inches of snow in January, the snowiest January in 40 years.
Ajax is bombed every four to five years, as conditions mandate.
