Victims In Small Plane Crash Identified
KERSEY, Colo. (CBS4)- The two people killed in a deadly plane crash in rural Weld County on Wednesday have been identified.
Richard LaCourse, 65, of Denver and John Burk, 79, of Aurora died when the experimental Wheeler Express plane crashed in a field south of Kersey near the intersection of Weld County Roads 50 and 53.
Copter4 captured the aftermath of the crash on video. The ground was charred and there was a debris scattered across hundreds of feet. The plane's tail was still intact.
Investigators with the FAA and the NTSB studied the crash scene on Wednesday and were set to return there on Thursday.
