Veterans Honored At Fort Logan National Cemetery Ceremony

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Veterans were honored on Friday at a special ceremony usually held at Fort Logan National Cemetery. This year, veterans gathered for a ceremony indoors.

The ceremony area at the cemetery is being renovated so this year veterans and their families gathered at the VFW Hall in Englewood on Veterans Day.

Brigadier General Michael Willis reflected on what it means to be a veteran.

"Veterans are regular men and women with one crucial distinction. When the nation needed them, they put aside their own dreams and answered the call to serve as a soldier, airman, Marine, sailor or coast guard," said Willis.
