Cars Submerged In South Platte River Will Stay For A While

DENVER (CBS4)- Local 911 dispatchers have continued to receive calls about vehicles submerged in the South Platte River in the Denver metro area.

First responders told CBS4 they are aware of the situation and are working to remove them from the water as soon as they can. The river currents remain too strong for divers with the Denver Fire Department to safely go into the water.

All five vehicles in the river were involved in different accidents earlier in the year.
