US 6 To Close At Garrison Street Wednesday Night For Bridge Work

DENVER (CBS4) - Eastbound lanes of US 6 will close Wednesday night as Colorado Department of Transportation crews work on the placement of new girders over Garrison Street.

According to CDOT, the lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday.

"Eastbound US 6 drivers will be directed to exit at Garrison Street and continue through the intersection to re-enter eastbound US 6," CDOT said in a statement.

Garrison Street will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday.

The Westbound lanes will remain open but there might be some delays.

"CDOT and the contractor team, led by Hamon Infrastructure, would like to remind motorists to slow down in the construction area. Fines will be doubled within the work zone."
