United Airlines Increases Checked Bags Fee By $5

DENVER (CBS4)- United Airlines passengers will soon be paying more for checked bags. United announced an increase to checked baggage fees starting next month.

The first checked bag will cost $35, up from $30 and the second checked bag is $45, up from $40.

Passengers can avoid the $5 increase by paying in advance.

JetBlue started the price hike trend, other airlines are expected to follow suit.
