Ultra-High Definition Video Of The Sun Released By Centennial's United Launch Alliance

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - A super-clear view of the sun was recorded in ultra-high definition video by a company based in Colorado.

The video was released by the United Launch Alliance. It was taken by their solar dynamics observatory which is currently orbiting the Earth.

The United Launch Alliance is headquartered in Centennial.

The video shows the sun in 10 wavelengths of invisible ultraviolet light. Each wavelength is then assigned a unique color, and then recorded at eight times the resolution of normal HD video.

NASA says a team works about 10 hours to create one minute of footage.
