Uber Joins Lyft In Offering Rides At DIA

DENVER (AP) - Uber is joining Lyft in offering rides to and from Denver International Airport.

The airport announced Monday that Uber has become the second ride-sharing service to get a permit to pick up and drop off passengers at the airport. Lyft's permit was announced last week.

The companies allow passengers to arrange rides through smartphone apps. The Colorado Legislature was the first in the country to pass legislation for such ride-sharing services this year over the opposition of taxi operators.
