Two Dogs Inside Car Stolen In Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman said her car and her two border collies inside were stolen in Boulder on Friday.

Cheryl Firby said she left the dogs in the car with the air conditioning running when she ducked into a pharmacy. The car and the dogs were gone when she returned.

Police searched the area but didn't find any witnesses or signs of the car or dogs.

"I'm just praying that they turn up," Firby told CBS4. "I really don't even care about the car. I just want my dogs back. You can replace the car. I can't replace my dogs."

The dogs' names are Halley and Benny.

Police said neighboring law enforcement agencies and the Humane Society of Boulder Valley have been notified.
