Curtis Salinger won the 2016 Bobby G Award for outstanding performance in a lead role by an actor. He also went to New York City for the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Both teens spent the week working with Broadway stars, learned songs and choreography that they performed at the awards ceremony.

"We're ending this week with life-long friends, and it's really an incredible week. And it's priceless," Salinger said.

Both students won $2,500 in scholarship money. Movizzo said she'll use hers at the University of Northern Colorado. Salinger is a sophomore in high school and was unsure how he'll use the money. In addition to the scholarships, Salinger won a scholarship to Carnegie Mellon's theatre intensive, next summer.
