ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A motorcycle and a car speed-racing each other caused a two-car crash that sent six people to the hospital on Friday night.

The victims' conditions were unknown.

The Colorado State Patrol said the motorcycle was racing a Volvo northbound on Federal Boulevard in Adams County when the car crashed head-on into a Nissan at 54th Avenue. Some passengers in the Nissan were ejected.

The crash caused severe damage to both cars.

Federal Boulevard at 54th Avenue was closed in both directions as police investigated the scene.
