Tulowitzki Injured As Rockies Fall To Pirates 3-2

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Colorado Rockies All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has left the game against the Pittsburgh Pirates with an apparent leg injury.

Tulowitzki was running out a ground ball to shortstop in the top of the fourth inning Saturday night when he grabbed his left leg halfway down the first base line. He was thrown out easily and gingerly made his way to the dugout before being replaced by Josh Rutledge.

The 29-year-old Tulowitzki is in the middle of a career season. He began play Saturday leading the major leagues with a .342 batting average. His 71 runs scored are also tops in baseball.
