TSA Confiscates 100+ Fireworks From Carry-On Bag At DIA

DENVER (CBS4)- The TSA confiscated more than 100 fireworks from a carry-on bag searched at the security checkpoint at Denver International Airport.

The fireworks were found inside the bag on Thursday. The TSA confiscated the fireworks and the passenger was allowed to continue with the trip.

The TSA can issue a civil penalty for dangerous items, including fireworks, that are packed on carry-on luggage. For fireworks, the penalty ranges from $250 to $1,500.

TSA said fireworks are not allowed in checked bags, either.
