COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Thousands of Donald Trump supporters lined up to see the Republican presidential nominee speak in Colorado Springs on Friday afternoon. It was one of two campaign appearances in Colorado on Friday.

Trump made a campaign stop in Davenport, Iowa earlier on Friday where he reacted to what was said about him at the Democratic National Convention.

"I mean, the things that were said about me. I mean, should I go through some of the names? You know what, I wanted to. I wanted to hit a couple of those speakers so hard," said Trump.

There were some protesters holding signs on campus before Trump arrived.
