Truck Driver Injured In Collision With Passenger Bus

AURORA, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — The driver of a pickup truck was seriously injured when he ran head-on into an RTD passenger bus early Saturday.

Aurora police say the driver of the bus and a trainee were injured, but their injuries were not life-threatening. There were no passengers on the bus.

Police say the accident happened when the driver of the pickup truck, identified as Landon Jo Sieg, drove the wrong way on Interstate 225 and ran into the front of the bus.

Sieg, 31, was rushed to Medical Center of Aurora South. He was issued a summons for DUI, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, careless driving and no proof of insurance. Police in Aurora confirm Sieg shows two prior DUI convictions in other states.
