Trooper Injured During High-Speed Chase Honored On First Responder Day

DENVER (CBS4) - A Colorado state trooper injured during a wild high-speed chase was honored during First Responder Day on Monday.

The Colorado Legislature honored Trooper Bellamann Hee for his actions during the chase last month.

Hee suffered several broken bones while attempting to stop the car in the chase. He dove to get out of the way but was still hit.

The suspected driver in the case is charged with several counts for the two-hour chase.
