Transient Camp Found Near Telluride 'Tons Of Trash'

TELLURIDE, Colo. (CBS4)- Crews are assessing the damage and cost of clean-up after a huge transient camp was found near Telluride in the southwest corner of Colorado.

There are piles of trash on the ground along with shacks and a tree house.

San Miguel County Sheriff Bill Masters found the camp located above the middle school during an arrest earlier this week.

Masters said the garbage is piled so high the popular hiking trail is inaccessible.

Masters said he posted the video on Facebook and YouTube to show the damage.
