Construction crews will also close the southbound I-25 on ramp beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday.

It's all part of the $66 million Responsible Acceleration of Maintenance Project (RAMP) aimed at improving congestion and traffic as well as safety in the area.

Other parts of the project include adding additional lanes on Arapahoe Road, building noise walls and widening stretches of Yosemite Street.

The project isn't expected to wrap up until summer of 2018.

The closure of westbound Arapahoe Road begins at 10 p.m. Sunday. It won't reopen until 5 a.m. So it likely will have an impact on the early Monday morning commute.
