Tourism, Jobs Growing In Colorado

DENVER (CBS4)- Tourism and jobs are growing in Colorado as the state's population continues to grow.

In the latest report from the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, the arts have added $367 million to the local economy and nearly 11,000 jobs.

The areas where the greatest impact was includes art exhibits, theater performances and museum installations.

Deborah Jordy with the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts said tourism is bringing in a lot of money to the Denver metro area.

"Tourists are bringing in millions of dollars. Last year we saw tourists from outside the metro area and around the world bringing over $360 million of new money into Denver," said Jordy.
