Tossed Cigarette Believed To Have Caused Grass Fire Near Golden
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters think a driver caused a grass fire right in the middle of Interstate 70 Monday morning.
The fire burned in the median at the U.S. 6 exit in Golden. Firefighters closed one lane of traffic in both directions until they could get it under control, which took about 30 minutes.
Investigators believe it started after someone tossed a cigarette out of their window and into the median.
