Tortilla Marissa's Reopens After Hep A Exposure
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Customers at the Tortilla Marissa's restaurant in Fort Collins can once again enjoy their favorite restaurant. It will reopen Saturday after one of its employees tested positive for Hepatitis A in June.
The restaurant is located at 2635 S. College Avenue in Fort Collins.
A food worker employed at Tortilla Marissa's tested positive for Hepatitis A in June. Hep A is a disease that might be passed to others through food directly handled by the employee before any symptoms appeared.
Larimer County Department of Health and Environment provided free vaccines to customers who ate at the restaurant during the possible exposure window.
The restaurant has been closed since June 27 for cleaning and sanitizing. No cases of Hep A were connected to the restaurant.
The Larimer County Health Department inspected the restaurant and approved Saturday's opening.
