Tornado warning expires in northeastern Colorado
A tornado warning was in effect in Logan County in northeastern Colorado on Monday night for more than an hour. A funnel was spotted by a weather spotter west of Sterling, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS sent a note on social media: "Heads up Sterling, CO! This storm with recent reports of a tornado and golf ball size hail is headed into town. Take shelter now!"

The storm system was slow-moving and also bringing heavy hail. There were no initial reports of damage.
The warning was also in effect for far eastern Weld County but that warning expired at 7:30 p.m.
The risks for severe weather across eastern Colorado on Monday include damaging winds, hail and possibly isolated tornadoes.
