CBS4's Tom Mustin Honored To Run With Vets For 'Run As One 5K'

DENVER (CBS4) - The weather didn't stop 300 hearty runners from hitting the streets of Denver for a great cause. The Run As One 5K took place Saturday morning in Denver's LoHi neighborhood.

The event was a display of unity for America's veterans who are facing challenges after returning home from deployment.

Twenty-two veterans commit suicide every day.

The run raised money and awareness to help the brave men and women who have served the United States.

CBS4's Tom Mustin had the honor of taking part in the event and met some incredible American heroes.

More than 20 veteran-serving groups and businesses united for the run. They were led by Team Red White and Blue, Team Rubicon and the Mission Continues.
