Thornton Missing Teen Found At Friend's House

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A 13-year-old boy declared missing Monday evening was found safe early Tuesday morning.

He was last seen at the library on East 120th Avenue and Holly Street, where his parents dropped him off. When they came back at 7 p.m., the teen was no longer there.

He had previously briefly run away over the weekend, but family found him roughly eight hours later.

He has a form of Asperger's Syndrome, which is why he was declared an endangered child in the search.

The teen was found at approximately 5:30 a.m. at a friend's house.
