There's No Calling In Sick To Broncos Practice

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - If you're ill and you're a player on the Denver Broncos, there's no calling in sick for practice.

What would happen if linebacker Brandon Marshall tried to do such a thing?

"I'd get fined," laughed Marshall during his guest appearance on this week's edition of the CBS4 Football Blitz. Then Marshall coughed. He wasn't feeling so hot, but you'd better believe he wouldn't miss any practices due to a cold.

"You have to at least come in (to team headquarters) and then have them look at you," Marshall said.

"They'll tell you to come in, or they will come get you," said tight end Owen Daniels, the other guest on the CBS4 Sports show.

Let's hope all the players on the Broncos roster got their flu shots this year!

The Broncos take on the Raiders on Sunday afternoon, and with all the players on the injury report, before the game Daniels joked that they "may have to hold team meetings in the training room."

Watch Sunday's game on CBS4.
