Theater Shooting Lawyers Seek Info From Each Other

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors and defense attorneys in the Colorado theater shooting case are accusing each other of withholding key information again, just weeks before the trial is set to begin.

In court filings released Wednesday, prosecutors asked a judge to order James Holmes' lawyers to turn over summaries of what their expert witnesses plan to say during testimony. And defense attorneys say prosecutors also haven't provided certain information about the witnesses they plan to call.

Judge Carlos A. Samour Jr. didn't immediately rule on the motions but has encouraged attorneys to err on the side of giving each other more information when possible.

Holmes is charged with killing 12 people and injuring 70. He pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, and prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Jury selection formally starts Jan. 20.
