Theater Shooting Jurors See Video Of Booby-Trapped Apartment

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) — Jurors in the Aurora theater shooting trial are getting their first extended look inside gunman James Holmes' booby-trapped apartment.

Prosecutors played a video Friday showing an array of homemade bombs, a trail of flammable powder on the carpet, a web of fuses and a panel with blinking red lights labeled "Launch Control."

The video was shot by a robot because bomb squad commanders considered the explosives too dangerous to send officers into the apartment. The bombs were eventually defused.

Police have testified the bombs were meant to be a diversion while the theater attack was underway.
