'The Colorado 54' Attempts To Summit All 54 Peaks In Colorado This Weekend

DENVER (CBS4) - This weekend a group of hikers tackled both Colorado's highest peaks and a growing problem overseas.

The event was called The Colorado 54. More than 500 hikers spread out over the state's 14ers hoping to summit all 54 in just one day.

Hikers were able to summit over 30 peaks of Colorado's 54 mountains that reach 14,000 feet or more.

The goal was to raise money to help people in Nicaragua get access to clean water.

The Colorado 54 is still totaling the amount of money raised and the exact number of peaks climbed.
