Affidavit: 2 Teens Were Shot, Killed In Execution-Style
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) — Two Coronado High School students were killed execution style, according to newly released court documents.
16-year-old Natalie Partida and 15-year-old Derek Greer were shot at close range, multiple times, and left for dead on the side of the road, near Fountain, back in March.
The confession comes from Gustavo Antonio Marquez, one of four people being charged with first-degree murder.
Marquez admitted the grisly details after Colorado Springs Police found him "falling into traffic" a week after killings, according to the affidavit.
Investigators believe the teens were kidnapped and killed over an alleged stolen purse.
Marquez says Partida begged for her life and was given the chance to say goodbye to her family before she was killed, but took too long to log into her Facebook account and lost her chance.
The affidavit indicates Derek Greer may have been at the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I just don't know how I'll live without him," Heather Ferguson, Greer's mother, told CBS4 back in March. "I don't understand what any kid could have done, or any person for that matter, to have deserved their life to be gone forever and not get to live a future."
