Teens Arrested, Accused In Murder Of Popular Chef

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Englewood arrested two teenagers in connection with the shooting death of a popular chef earlier this month.

Police said it was about 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 when Nick Lewis, 33, the popular chef at Denver's Blackbird Public House, had been walking home from the 7-Eleven near South Acoma Street. The father of an 8-year-old boy was struck by several bullets, and later died at the hospital.

On Oct. 21, two 16-year-old males were charged with first-degree murder and attempt to commit aggravated robbery in the death of Lewis. Both males were in custody on unrelated charges when the charges in the Lewis murder case were filed.

Police have not released a motive for the murder.
