Teenage Girl Hit By Car In Aurora Dies

AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Aurora police say a teenage girl who was hit by a car while she crossed the street with her younger brother earlier this week has died.

The girl, whose name and age have not been released, was struck near the Aurora Hills Golf Course at about 6:30 p.m. Monday. She died Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say the girl and her teen brother were wearing dark clothes when they crossed the road without a walk signal. The boy and the driver were not injured.

Police do not suspect the driver was speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. No charges are expected in the case.
